Essential Oil Rebranding
Packaging
I developed a system of icons to identify each product with its characteristics and its effects on the human body. Different colour codes inspired from the moods of each season were developed. For the spring kit, colours such as blue, green and purple were chosen. These colours are found in flowers that only grow during spring along with the vivid green of flower buds and the soft blue of the sky. Each colour was chosen according to each product’s main herb. The icons were developed to promote the main effects that each product has on the human body. I wanted to give the spring kit and the brand an elegant look, hence the dark box container and the black eye-dropper bottles.
The purpose of this project was to design a spring kit of essential oil for the brand St Francis Herb Farm, a family business which mainly produces essential oils and cosmetic products directly from their farm. The spring kit contains four essential oils and a pack of reusable cotton pads. The kit consists of a match box container and a shipping box.
It was important to develop a system that allows the user to know which product is right for their needs. Creating an iconic language with significant colours was the best way to design this kit and to keep an elegant and authentic look to it. This project was eventually rendered in Cinema 4D to enhance the art direction.
